3G Pitch & Facilities Refubishment PLANS

Find out about our exciting plans for the club and community and how you can get involved.

The proposed £1.7 million project involves the installation of a 3G football turf and floodlit pitch, renovating and extending the changing room pavilion and refurbishment of the licenced clubhouse including installation of a new commercial kitchen, provided by the Howdens Game Changer programme.

UKSFP £50k investment will go specifically to the development of the changing room pavilion, which is intended to be ready and open for March 2025.

A proposal to build an 11v11 3G football turf pitch at Brigg Town was one of the priority projects identified in North Lincolnshire and key stakeholders such as the Football Foundation and North Lincolnshire Council are committed to working with Brigg Town FC CIC to make it a reality and bring significant development to the area.

The club envisages installation of the 3G pitch to be completed by late summer 2025.

Brigg Town FC CIC stresses that the new facilities at the EC Surfacing Stadium will be for the community use throughout the year working closely with Brigg Town Council, local schools, colleges and voluntary groups to participate in sport, physical activity and social activities. The club is already planning to establish a disability football team and to offer walking football for the over 50s.

As the world’s seventh oldest football club, in 2017 Brigg Town Football Club became as Community Interest project and as a CIC any profit they make is reinvested in the club and the local area. The aim is to support the sustainable development of football in and around Brigg.

The Premier League, The FA and Government’s charity the Football Foundation is on a mission to champion fair access to local community football facilities. To achieve this, Local Football Facilities Plans have been developed for every community which identify the facilities that most need the funding.

It is weatherproof and durable, withstanding intensive usage without showing signs of wear and tear. It’s sand & rubber fill increases safety and comfort, providing fewer injury concerns.
