Brigg Town’s player of the month is usually chosen by the manager. However, newly appointed Dave Smith only saw one out of six matches in November. This time chairman Jim Huxford, who watched all six of them, has made the decision and he chose Luke Sellers. This is no surprise because Sellers had very good month.

The month began with a 2-0 victory at Parkgate. Sellers gave Brigg the lead with an unstoppable volley. Days later he did well in the 2-1 win over Swallownest. Manager Nathan Peat chose him as Man of the Match on both occasions. November got a lot worse after a promising start, but Sellers continued to shine with a fine performance in the 3-0 FA Vase defeat to Cheadle Town.
The Zebras were really unlucky to lose 3-2 at Armthorpe Welfare. Sellers set up Martin Pembleton’s goal with a neat pass. The left-back didn’t play badly in a 3-1 loss to Retford FC.
In the last league game of the month, the Zebras were edged out 2-1 by Athersley Recreation. Sellers scored Brigg’s only goal and Huxford thought he was Man of the Match. The chairman was then convinced that Sellers should get the monthly award.
Great work, Luke!
