Brigg Town’s second player of the month award goes to Finley O’Sullivan. Manager Nathan Peat decided as he will at the end of every month this season.

In September, O’Sullivan was Man of the Match three times out of a possible five. His performances were good in the other two and no one else played the full 90 minutes in all five matches.
September’s first result was a 3-1 win over Staveley Miners Welfare. After playing very well and assisting Dayle Hutson’s goal, O’Sullivan was Peat’s choice for Man of the Match.
Days later the Zebras came from behind to defeat Rossington Main 3-2 in the NCEL League Cup. O’Sullivan’s 93rd-minute goal, which was a great strike from distance, was the winner in another Man of the Match display.
O’Sullivan’s performances were solid in the 2-1 victory against Horbury Town and in the following week’s 3-0 FA Vase triumph at New Mills.
The Zebras completed a perfect month by beating Beverley Town 3-1. O’Sullivan was the star man for the third time in September – afterwards, Peat knew he was Player of the Month.
Every player impressed in September, but O’Sullivan was the standout performer.
Well done, Finley!
