Nathan Peat made this decision – the manager will choose a player at the end of every month this season. Brigg’s first match of the campaign was in late July so the end of that month was also taken into account.

The Zebras’ first result was a 1-1 draw with Campion on Saturday 30th July. Papprill was the Man of the Match and he equalized with a 20-yarder that flew into the top corner. It was a great goal to rescue a point in the 88th minute.
Papprill was Man of the Match again in a 2-1 victory over Nostell Miners Welfare, he played his part in the 1-1 draw with Dronfield Town before scoring in a 4-1 win at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic. The defender then did well in Brigg’s 1-1 draw with Harrogate Railway Athletic.
The only bad result of the month was a 2-1 loss at Wakefield AFC. Papprill’s performance was good though and he assisted Lawrence Heward’s goal.
August ended with an FA Vase clash at home to Runcorn Town. The Zebras ran out 3-1 winners and another solid display earned Papprill the monthly award.

Papprill was the only outfielder to play in every minute of all 7 matches. Also, no other player was Man of the Match twice in August so there can’t be any complaints about the decision.
Well done, Fraser!
