This season’s last Player of the Month award goes to Jacob Norburn. The defender was one of only a few who played in every minute of all of Brigg Town’s games in April.
After recovering from a long-term injury, he had a brief spell with the Development Squad. Excellent performances led to a place in the first team before long. Since then, the great work has continued.
April started with the unluckiest of 1-0 defeats at Retford FC. Although it was a disappointing result, Norburn was the man of the match.
A week later his display was solid in an emphatic 7-2 win over Athersley Recreation. All the above topped off with last night’s efforts in the 1-1 draw at Swallownest has earned Norburn the monthly award.
