Manager Dave Smith chose Jack Richardson as the standout performer in February. The midfield dynamo had a great month with two man-of-the-match awards and a goal.
February’s first game was against Boston Town in the Lincs Senior Trophy. Unfortunately the Zebras lost 3-1, but Richardson put in a man-of-the-match performance.
Days later Brigg won 5-3 in a goal fest at Beverley Town. Richardson gave his all covering every blade of grass.
Afterwards he did well in a 2-1 win over Nostell Miners Welfare.
The midfielder was unavailable against Ollerton Town. The Zebras suffered a 4-0 defeat and were noticeably worse without him in the middle.
Richardson was back for the 5-2 loss at Rossington Main. Although this was a bad result, he scored in his second player-of-the-match display.
Brigg ended the month on a high, thrashing Parkgate 5-0. Another very good performance earned Richardson the monthly award.
Well done, Richo!
