Welcome back to Brigg Town! You’re now the assistant manager – how do you feel about that?
I’m really happy to have re-joined the club! A lot has changed off the field since I was last here and the set-up in general is much more stable.
This will be your second spell at Brigg. You and Nathan Peat have managed the Zebras before, haven’t you?
That’s right – myself and Nathan managed Brigg as player-managers a few years ago. The club is in a far better situation now which will enable us to move forward.
After your first spell you went to Bridlington Town. You were assistant manager for them. How did that go?
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Bridlington Town! Promotion and a trophy were the main positives from my seasons with them. They’re a really good club and they’re run very well.
Last season you were unable to commit due to work. That’s no longer an issue, is it?
I still may have the odd issue. However, I’ve spoken to my place of work and Brigg is a lot closer to my home address which makes it much easier.
Although the league takes priority, there are several cups to win. What are your ambitions in the cup competitions?
Yes, our priority is the league. The cup competitions are a bonus though – it’s always nice to win any cup. Last season’s County Cup win was great, especially at Glanford Park in front of a really good crowd! Also, the club has a history in the FA Vase so we’ll be competitive in that.
Good answers and thanks for your time!
You’re more than welcome.
