Have you enjoyed playing for Brigg Town?
Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed my first season at Brigg. Since I started the club has been constantly progressing thanks to the many volunteers who come down and get involved in various jobs around the ground. On that note, the fans we have down at this club are extremely rare. You’ll struggle to find better at this level and even some levels above, which really gives all of us lads a massive boost when we’re out on that pitch.
Were you pleased with your individual performances?
Overall I was pleased with my performances. However, there were games where after full time I knew I had not played to my full potential. I also know even the performances I was pleased with, there is still loads to improve on. Hopefully with Nath and Bows having depths of knowledge in the defensive area, they can keep improving me and we can keep more clean sheets than last year.
What about Brigg’s team performances?
Some of the team performances last season were the best I’ve ever been involved in throughout my playing career with some teams not able to compete with us. However, I think myself and all players can agree that some games were simply not good enough, which is what we need to improve on this season for ourselves and the fans.
How did you find your centre back partnership(s)?
The biggest partnership I had last season was either with Loz or TJ. They’re both good and helped in my development last season. I was especially proud to be have been part of 12/13 clean sheets that Brigg kept last season with both Loz and TJ playing big parts in that.
Lastly, what did you make of winning the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy?
Winning any trophy at this level is something to be proud of! After the season we had it was extremely important to go out on a high like we did. It was a special moment for me to win it at my local football team Scunthorpe United’s ground. I used to be a Scunthorpe season ticket holder. So overall it was a great achievement and an even better night!
Thanks and best of luck for the season.
Cheers!
