Brigg Town’s fifth player of the month award goes to Chaz Fisher, as chosen by manager Dave Smith. The Zebras only played three times in December due to weather conditions but Chaz did very well in the two he played against the league’s first and second-placed teams.
The first match of the month was at Campion. The table toppers had won a staggering SEVENTEEN games in a row! Brigg’s performance of the season ended Campion’s very long winning streak. The Zebras ran out 2-1 victors on a day to remember. Fisher played a big part defending against 90 minutes of constant attacks.
After missing the 1-1 draw with Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, Fisher was back for today’s match at Harrogate Railway Athletic. It was the last fixture of 2022 and proved to be one of the hardest.
Unfortunately, Brigg lost 1-0 despite their best efforts. This wasn’t ideal, but Fisher was terrific earning the man-of-the-match award. Smith didn’t take long to choose him as December’s player of the month.
