Brigg Town FC CIC 0-0 Shirebrook Town

The Zebras only managed a goalless draw with Shirebrook Town despite a convincing display.

In the opening stages Stephen McCarron was denied by a couple of good saves from Levi Owen.

Afterwards Josh Fraiwald had the ball in the net, only to see the flag up for an alleged offside.

Towards the end of the half, Joe Pugh fired an effort just over the crossbar.

Brigg Town picked up where they left off in the second half with Jack Boswell curling a free kick narrowly off target.

Conner Harman then had a shot saved by Owen as the Zebras continued to dominate.

Minutes later Jack Richardson’s 20-yarder flew inches wide of the post.

In the latter stages Josh Batty, Luke Mascall and McCarron all came close, but Brigg were unable to find a winner.

The Zebras were very unfortunate not to take three points. Their play-off hopes now ride on Saturday’s trip to Retford FC.
