The Zebras began brightly with Josh Fraiwald forcing Zac Walker into a good save and Joe Pugh coming close.
Swallownest almost took the lead when Jack Haslam’s free kick rattled the crossbar.
Soon afterwards Ethan Cowan did well to keep out a powerful shot at full stretch.
Brigg almost broke the deadlock on the stroke of half time with Owen Vincent shooting inches wide after good work from Scott Hutchinson.

Walker was called into action again early in the second half to claw away Joel Auty’s effort.
The Zebras took a 61st-minute lead through Fraiwald, who fired home following a goalmouth scramble.
However, Haslam didn’t take long to equalize and something strange happened as soon as he had.
Surprisingly, a melee ensued instead of a goal celebration when the ball was in the net. Players from both sides crowded round in the goalmouth and it’s not clear who did what, but Cowan was the player who saw red – he didn’t appear to do anything wrong though.
Briggs took over in goal and the Zebras only had nine men late on as Alfie Davy had gone off injured minutes earlier and no subs were left. Even so, Swallownest were unable to find a late winner.
It was quite an ordinary game apart from that bizarre incident towards the end.
Finishing in ninth place wasn’t great considering promotion was Brigg’s goal for the campaign. Nobody can fault anyone’s effort throughout the campaign though – many thanks to the whole club for every contribution on and off the pitch.
The Zebras will have a break this summer before going again in pre-season.
