Then Martin Pembleton worked the ball across the Harrogate penalty area for Dayle Hutson to shoot wide of the goal post.

The first goal in the game was always going to be significant and the visitors began to look more confident, winning a free kick outside the penalty area which was blocked. Brigg pressed forward and Owen Vincent was fouled twenty-five yards out in a central position but the free kick was deflected by the defensive wall for two consecutive corner kicks which were then cleared.
In the last minute of the first half, Harrogate doubled their lead when Kieran Greenaway took possession of a loose ball close to the touchline on the left and ran with it unchallenged into the penalty area before knocking it into the back of the net.

With a clear two-goal lead to defend in the second half, the visitors played well to control the game, producing an efficient team performance. They began by winning a free kick which was swung across the face of the Brigg goal before being cleared.
Brigg went close with strikes from Dayle Hutson, Jack Richardson, Owen Vincent and Nathan Peat all being defended without troubling the goalkeeper, who completed a comfortable afternoon.
As the end of the season approaches, there are some challenging games ahead to secure a position in the play-offs.
